Maqui Berries

Could This Be the Fountain of Youth?

While there may not be an actual “Fountain of Youth,” there is one simple thing you can do to help your body slow the aging process and fight disease: Make sure your diet is loaded with antioxidants!

What’s the big deal about antioxidants?

Basically, they are vital to protect your body from oxidative damage which leads to aging and disease. Think of an apple turning brown once sliced—that’s oxidation. To remain in peak health for as long as possible, make sure your diet is loaded with immune-supporting antioxidants!

One Fruit Shines Above the Rest

Meet the maqui berry (aristotelia chilensis), a wild-grown Patagonian super fruit that has one of the highest antioxidant values of any known fruit. The Mapuche people in Southern Chile have been consuming maqui for centuries to help boost strength and stamina. This little super fruit is becoming better known in the West because of its abundance of polyphenols and anthocyanins which give it that deep purple color. Studies have proven that maqui has “high antioxidant activity, which correlates highly with total polyphenol content and with anthocyanin concentration.”1

In addition to being loaded with immune-supporting antioxidants, maqui was found to have “antimicrobial activity” against “bacterial and fungal human pathogens, especially including wound pathogens.”2 Plus it has vitamins A, C, B1, and B3, along with calcium, iron, magnesium, and copper. This little berry packs a lot of punch!

I love this product. It's like the berriest berry you've ever eaten. It's blueberry meets raspberry meets cherry - it's delish. I put a teaspoon in my green juice in the morning and it improves the taste and I get all the health benefits. I also sprinkle it on sliced bananas and it's GREAT. I start to crave it sometimes. Definitely add it to your list.” – Elle

Can't imagine anyone not liking this :)” – Kristya

“I love to mix maqui powder with my orange juice in the morning, and it gives me extra energy for the day. It tastes great too - It's subtly sweet with a nice depth to it.” – Lauren
